Living Water Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with approximately 4.2 million members in 10,000 congregations across the 50 states and in the Caribbean region. Known as the church of "God's work. Our hands," the ELCA emphasizes the saving grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unity among Christians and service in the world. The ELCA's roots are in the writings of the German church reformer, Martin Luther.
We are also part of the DE-MD Synod, a group of Christ followers who work together to share the Good News of Jesus, grow faith, and make our world a better place.

Living Water organized as congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in January of 2002 under the leadership of Pr. Tom Miller. In October of 2003, Mark Walters became Living Water's pastor. In October of 2008, Living Water moved from rented space in old Stevensville to rented space at Christ Church Episcopal, 830 Romancoke Rd in Stevensville. In the Fall of 2014, Pastor Walters accepted a call to another congregation, and Pastor Emily Leitzke began in December 2014 as Living Water's interim pastor. Pastor Robert Day joined Living Water in October of 2015.
Our goal is to help God transform people through the power of the Gospel into healthy, joyful, fully-devoted followers of Christ.
